Why Spain?
Eight years ago, we met and fell in love while studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain.
The vibrant and laid-back nature of the city allowed for constant spontaneity and for two 20 year olds to go from strangers to confidants in just 3 months. During that time, we traveled, studied, swapped stories of our lives at home, and walked countless miles together. Our strong relationship and love of each others’ company propelled us through 4 years of long distance while Kayla started medical school in MD and Bill started his career in NJ.
In 2020, amid the global pandemic, we finally moved in together and started our life in Baltimore, Maryland. Over the last 8 years, we have celebrated many milestones and traveled around the world together, but there is no place that holds our hearts more than Spain. It is not only the country where we fell in love but where we went on our first trips, shared new experiences, and started our journey together. We couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. We are so excited to share this wonderful and fun country with everyone we love!
All wedding events will take place at Cigarral de las Mercedes, a boutique hotel in Toledo, Spain. There will be room for all guests to stay at the hotel, see travel tab. Toledo is a 30 minute train ride from Madrid, Spain, an international hub. On this page, we’ve provided some information on how to travel to Spain, get to the Venue, and book a room.
